When should I start The Antenatal Course?
We recommend starting your antenatal course when you are between 26-34 weeks pregnant.
What if I / we have to miss a session?
No worries - everything is in the Course Companion, a 65 page guide you'll receive on the course.
Is Hello Baby the same as NCT?
No. Hello Baby is a provider of midwife-led education and other services. NCT is another brand.
When should I book The Antenatal Course?
We suggest booking after you've had the 12 week scan - classes do tend to book up quickly.
Will everyone have similar due dates?
Everyone in your group will have estimated due dates within approximately 6-8 weeks.
Do you cover formula and breastfeeding?
Yes. The Antenatal Course covers breastfeeding, formula, mixed feeding, expressing and more!
What size are the groups?
Courses are grouped by estimated due date - size varies from 6-10 couples per group.
Can I attend as a solo parent?
Solo parents are very welcome. Feel free to bring a birth partner or support person along too.
What if I'm having a planned caesarean?
We cover (in detail!) elective and emergency caesarean, theatre birth environment, and recovery.
Where and when are group classes held?
The Antenatal Course is taught in Bushey (WD23) on weekdays from 19:30 to 21:45.
Does The Antenatal Course cover first aid?
Yes, one session is dedicated to baby first aid including CPR, choking and the recovery position.
Is it relevant for partners and dads?
Yes, attending together will help them feel more involved and better prepared for parenthood.
